Is There A Tool Or Spreadsheet Available That Will Show Me In Detail The Financing Of My Auto Loan?
Posted by Kuka under auto on 4 八月, 2009I’m looking for a tool/spreadsheet that will give me the following information. Inputs: Total loan, # of years/months financed, finance rate. Output: each total monthly payment, $ paid each payment in interest, $ paid each payment in principle. I’d also like to change the variables and recalculate (i.e if I increased my monthly payment by x amount, how many months would it take down to pay the loan or if I financed at x rate, how much would my monthly payments be). I know there are a few sites that do have mortgage and loan estimates with the variables I mentioned, but I’d like something customizable where I can easily see every single payment. thanks.

What you are looking for is called an “amortization schedule”.

It looks like you should be able to easily change what your payments are and see how that impacts your loans.

hsh.com free down loads for mortgage loans but will work with any loan type term amount rate etc

If you use Microsoft Excel, there is a general template called loan amortization. It’s quite easy to understand and use. If it doesn’t give you all the functionality you want, it gives you a good starting point for modifications.
